wc 07/12/15 progress, reflection and ideas

Progress

Both the concept development and pre-production documents have been handed in on time. The first dummy version of the book has also been completed. All of these were critical to keep the project on track so this has been a very successful week. This week shows that experimentation should continue and the first case study must also be carried out this week. On Saturday I will be attending the third of the Picture hooks talks in Edinburgh.

Reflection

This week has felt good, the project now seems to be gaining some momentum. This is probably in large due to the more productive aspects that have been happening. Having the first dummy version allows me to see how the story is working so far. Experimenting with materials and techniques has given life to the project in regards to what possibilities may lie ahead. It also feels good to have all of semester one works handed in, the aims of the project seem much clearer and ways forward can now be seen.

Ideas

Get the first case study underway to find any issues and gain a better understanding of what I am trying to achieve through these studies and how they may benefit the project. Carry on experimenting with whatever comes to mind. Try to fill out ethics form as soon as possible just to get it out of the way and know I have clearance or at least it may let me deal with any issues.
