Journal Study: The artist as narrator

I have just read a journal written by Linnet Hunter titled The artist as narrator: Shaun Tan's wondrous worlds. The paper gives a history on the artist's development and discusses works in broad terms. Inspirations and more detailed discussions on particular books such as the three I have chosen to use as case studies. It is interesting to see the themes and topics the writer has picked up that are similar to what I have found through my studies. However more interesting is the different points of view, the details I myself had missed in images. This is probably why I like the work of Shaun Tan, the images can be visited numerous times, each time something new may be found or my understanding of the work may change. Reading such papers will help in giving me a more rounded approach to this case study, highlighted exerts of this paper are shown below.
